Product Description
Harmonic's return path transmitters allow operators to build complete two-way interactive broadband communications systems. The RPT 2005A accepts video and/or data on the return band which is converted into a light wave signal at 1310 nm for transmission on a return fiber The transmitter is a module which mounts within the HTR 2000 platform, allowing it to be used for return over headend to hub optical links. The RPT 2005A complements the HRM 3810 forward receiver for the HLP 4200 platform. It can also be used to repeat the return optical signal at a location where a MAXLink optical amplifier (model HOA 70xx) is located. The RPT 2005A features a high performace, uncooled DFB laser with a bandwidth which extends to 300 MHz. The transmitter can achieve high performance with either data or two channels of video. The laser is stabilized to maintain performance over the entire operating temperature range.
