Cisco's uBR-MC28U high-performance processing engine integrates well with DOCSIS- or Euro-DOCSIS-based networks. It creates secure bidirectional transmission of IP packets for data, voice, and video services. This card supports 6 MHz National Television Systems Committee (NTSC) channel operation, 88 to 860 MHz range, upstream channels in the 5-42 MHz range, 9 MGz Phase Alternating Line (PAL) and Avec Memoire (SECAM) channel plans, up stream spectrum range of 5-65 MHz, increased downstream channel width of 8 MHz, and 6 MHz J-DOCSIS channel operation.
The MC28U is a cable line card from the Cisco uBR7200 Series for the Cisco uBR7246VXR Universal Broadband Router (and similar models). Line features are:
