DESCRIPTION
The Model 6475-3, 860 MHz 1550 nm Externally Modulated Transmitter (EMT) is microprocessor controlled and designed to operate either within a 3 dB optical loss budget, or in conjunction with a 1550 nm optical amplifier, over greater loss budgets. This low power 1550 nm optical transmitter is capable of delivering up to 110 analog NTSC video channels, 99 analog PAL B/G video channels, or a combination of video and data services. These services include advertising, broadband digital video and impulse pay-perview Operational flexibility is enhanced by features such as Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) suppression, laser shutdown and variable RF drive levels.
